Research Interests

Elisa's research interests in the past year have been in TMS in cognitive neuroscience and social psychology.  Elisa has been involved as a DIS student with 2 FSU labs this past year.  In the Nee lab, Elisa has been assisting with the TMS/Anhedonia project with participant transcranial magnet stimulation, helping with fMRI scans, and EEG data collection.  This research hopes to lead to novel, non-invasive treatment of sub-cortical dysfunction, an aspect of many psychiatric and neurological disorders.  In the March lab, Elisa has been assisting with several projects related to racial bias, utilizing technology such as fEMG, a VR shooter task, and force plates.  Through the dual implicit model, the research applies threat versus valence distinction to research areas such as prejudice, aiming to advance our understanding of information processing.
