After completing my undergraduate studies, I plan to attend law school where I will be studying either constiutional or criminal law. I aspire to build a career in the legal and judiciary sectors of government. Ultimately, I hope to work as a judge, potentially rising to be a justice of a(or the) supreme court or Attorney General, where I can play a significant role to the shaping and enforcement of the law at the highest levels for the betterment of our society.
I am currently involved in the Cuban American Student Association, Women in Government, Hispanic/Latin Student Union, Legal Student Services, International English Honor Society, and the Legislative Certification Program.

My research interests include law, education, and social equity, with a particular focus on how resource availability affects students beginning in elementary school. I am also very intrigued by gender dynamics and differences in political engagement and behavior. Through UROP, I am currently working with Dr. Jennifer Copp and Maria Diaz Mize on Criminal Justice research that is investigating violations of due process in several counties in North Florida.
