Literature, Asian American culture. Sean will be beginning a hybrid creative/analytical project on the Asian American kunstlerroman under the direction of Barbara Hamby for his Honors in the Major Thesis. This project explores the coming-of-age of the Asian American creative, and he will be interviewing Asian American artists and writing poems inspired by each interview. Sean will also conduct a literature review of Asian American artists' coming-of-age narratives to understand the intersections of the cultural and artistic identity.
