Research Interests
Avery is a research assistant in a biology lab. They are measuring the growth/decline of natural and restored coral reefs. The research that Avery conducts is mostly computer work. She scans through photos taken of a large part of a coastline and outlines specific corals, labeling them, and determining their size. This is done for many photos taken over many years by divers in the lab and the data is then compiled, and the size and recruitment of new corals are noted. This lab is supervised by Andre Rassweiler at FSU.
