Pre-health topics, especially research that involves the Spanish language and health. Carter has been conducting research with FSU Anthropology Professor Dr. Eric Shattuck on health care access of the Wixarika people of Mexico. Interviews of Indigenous patients and physicians were conducted in Jalisco, Mexico, and Carter has worked with his research team to produce various resources for Mexican physicians outlining the problem of Indigenous Health Inequality and possible solutions. Carter presented his research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium in April.
