Environmental Sciences, Marine research (specifically oysters in Apalachicola Bay), clean energy efforts, Sustainability, and Climate Justice/Environmental Justice Initiatives.  Through UROP, Harper was able to complete research at the FSU Coastal and Marine Laboratory. In partnership with PhD candidate Donaven Baughman, she helped to assess the survivability of algae at various salinity levels. These results are imperative for marine science experiments, especially those involving oysters, and the both of them hope to compile these results into a future publication.
