I hope to attend law school overseas, specifically in the U.K. or Canada, and pursue a legal career there. I am interested in corporate and constitutional law, though I am still exploring my options.

Through UROP, I will be working with research mentor William Perez to explore the concept of "happiness" in nineteenth-century antebellum America and its manifestations in religion and politics. Our research will examine how different groups in this period pursued happiness and responded to perceived threats to their ideals, focusing on the broader implications these views had for democracy.
