Immersive learning, game development, computer science. Through UROP, Yusong has been assissting a FSU Ph.D. student, Ms. Chaewon Kim on the design and development of an immersive, game-based learning environment aimed at promoting healthy eating habits. This research, conducted internally at FSU, explores the intersection of interactive media and health education, with the goal of making nutritional learning more accessible and engaging for college students. Yusong will continue working with Ms. Kim on further developing this project, refining gameplay mechanics, narrative elements, and user feedback to enhance educational outcomes. In addition to this ongoing work, she will continue to work along with Ms. Kim on another project under the supervision of Dr. Feng Feng Ke, a former FSU professor, on a new immersive learning project for the upcoming semesters. This project focuses on supporting post-secondary students in mastering core math skills— such as algebra, geometry, and precalculus— through an interactive digital environment.
