Research_interests: I would love to research health inequities of any fashion. My main UROP project choice delves into how "geospatial stigma at the neighborhood level" ("socio-economics, substance abuse, HIV, gender, race, sexuality, disability, and other lived experiences") influences health.
Community Involvement: There's so many opportunities! I am soon to do the training sessions for "Conversations To Remember," and there are tons of campus organizations relating to service, disabilities, awareness, and more. Camp Kesem is worth a look-sie by all freshmen!

Career Goals: My career goals are simple but are driven by very personal intentions. My goals revolve around returning to my hometown of Miami and seeking employment in my field. Once there, I would like to use the skills and experience in the areas such as where I grew up. Allapattah is one of many low-income areas in Miami that lack the necessary personnel or passionate people to create change for these residents.
Research_interests: My research interests follow traveling and visiting areas where either engineering is heavily focused on or where it is most needed. One of the ideas I am already pursuing is studying abroad in one of FSU’s international campuses. Specifically, the one in Panama or Spain.
Community Involvement: Recently, I haven’t been as involved as I would like to be. However, I have been waiting for Market Wednesday to explore various clubs on campus. Besides extracurriculars, I am an Honors student, and this has allowed me to branch off with other peers, allowing me to grow as a person and begin to make early connections.

Career Goals: I am hoping to finish my bachelors in international affairs/political science and then attend law school. I'm not sure what type of law I'm interested in practicing, however, I am hoping to utilize my diverse background and work in an international field.
Research_interests: My research interests are particularly centered around international law, human rights, and justice systems across the world. Combining my international background and major-related work, I hope to research how different societies are affected by war crimes and genocide, both within the justice systems and the social environment. Aside for that, any ethical and niche questions are very intriguing and I hope to learn more through participating in UROP.
Community Involvement: I am the co-founder of a nonprofit called Bridging Borders for Ukraine, which aims to support conversational English learning among war-affected Ukrainian Students. On campus, I have recently joined an on-campus greek life organization and participate in UROP. I'm hoping to join the Pre-Law Fraternity/alongside other law-centered opportunities, play for the club golf team, and get involved on leadership boards.

Career Goals: I’m passionate about justice, solving complex problems using creativity, and civic engagement. My goals are to continually promote civic engagement through public policy, collaborating with our federal government as an attorney to review, develop, and enact innovative policies that serve the conditions and development citizens are passionate about. In conjunction with government experience, I hope to practice subsets of intellectual property to support and protect innovative creatives. Throughout this journey, I hope to contribute back to academia and become a law professor!
Research_interests: Currently, I am excited to pursue research with UROP within and outside of my field. Emma Schlotthauer

Career Goals: I am on a pre-medical track and aspire to become a pediatric trauma surgeon.
Research_interests: I am interested in scientific research that focuses on analyzing biological processes, neurological conditions, and interactions between the body and its physiological processes. My research interests further include both basic science as well as medical research from both a qualitative and quantitative standpoint.
Community Involvement: I have been involved in the community through my work with a private nonprofit organization that supports victims of child maltreatment. I have worked on safe sleep initiatives to prevent childhood deaths as well as fundraised for the organization to enhance their efforts in the community. I have volunteered at various food pantries to organize supplies and assist those less fortunate. I also worked extensively conducting community service with victims of child maltreatment to create a ceiling tile project that promoted positivity and resilience as a creative way to support survivors on their healing journey. Career Goals: My intention is to earn a Ph.D. in astrophysics after my bachelor's. From here, I will work as a researcher at a government organization like NASA, NSA or DoD or work as a mathematician for a private company.
